Sickly Days Ahead

I haven't written in a few days because Emma has been sick since Wed. I think it is just a cold. She has the clasic runny nose, cough and mild fever during the day with a higher fever at night. She has been fairly ok until today. She is much more cranky today so I gave in and gave her Tylenol during the day. I believe that if they have a mild temp they shouldn't get medication to give her body a chance to fight the illness. However if it hits near 101F she gets meds. I have been giving her Motrin at night, putting on Vicks for babies on her chest and cranked up the humidifier at night and thankfully she has been sleeping ok at night.
If her cough persists until Monday I will bring her in for a check up to see if it is turning into something more. I stayed home with her on Thursday and Daddy stayed with her on Friday. I have Monday off thankfully so I hope that she recovers by Tuesday. We are however going to miss Grandma Jasia's return from Poland. She is flying in today with Adam's sister but since Emma is sick and it is really cold out and it is supposed to snow tomorrow we are not going to go visit them. It will have to wait until next week. Next Sunday is Adam's birthday so we will bake him a nice cake and invite some family over for Sunday to have some cake. Nothing big...
