Emma Celebrate's New Years by Builing a Snowman

It is amazing she had any snow for the snowman she ate so much of it!

We decided that Emma should get some outdoor time on New Years Day so we headed outside. We pulled Emma in her sled and we sledded a bit down the hill and yes even Grandma went down the hill in I don't know how many years! Then we decided to build a snowman. There wasn't that much snow out but it was finally sticky after the rain showers so it made for perfect snow to build a snowman. Grandma and mom did most of the work and Emma put on the finishing touches. A little bit more here...

All done!

You can see the sled marks from where we sledded down the hill.

We finished the day by clearing off the snow form the deck.

Ringing in the New Year

We were lucky enough to have grandpa Antoni and grandma Jasia baby sat so we could go out and welcome 2010. It has been oh some 12 years since we have been anywhere besides some one's house for New Years. We went with Agnes, Edgar, Marissa, John, Becky and Dwight. The place was Aqua Turf and the atmosphere was festive. We had good food, nice company and a good time dancing. Yes Adam did dance! And of course all of us enjoyed the open bar...
Thanks guys for a great time, hopefully that means that 2010 will be a great year!

Christmas Day at Aunt Agnes'

Emma gets her first Piggy Bank

We spend the rest of Christmas day with my sister Agnes, Emma's Godmother. She loved it because she got presents and got to watch her Dora the Explorer DVD which she took from home over and over again. We just hung out, talked and relaxed. It was really pleasant.

Christmas Morning at Home 2009

We slept in late on Christmas morning, had a nice breakfast and then opened presents. This will probably be the last year we can do that. No kid who know about presents will wait until almost 11 AM to open presents. Emma had a blast ripping all the wrapping paper off her presents and some of ours as well. She got a lot of Dora gear, books, DVD, backpack, etc. She got a microphone since she loves to sing and dance, some clothes and a Polish Electronic notebook that teaches you the Polish alphabet and other things. It works both in Polish and in English. She also got a Pooh Bear that tell stories and sings in Polish. Adam got a salt water fly rod outfit while I got a Pandora bracelet and some bowls. We all liked our presents and headed over to Agnes's for some more!

Christmas Eve 2009

We went to Grandma Janina and Grandpa Antoni for Christmas Eve. Emma got to meet Santa! She was shy but happy to see him and he even got a hug and kiss before he left! She ate quite a bit, danced with Grandma, had a great time opening presents, and didn't want to leave so we ended up staying really late. We left before 10PM and still had a 40 minute drive home. But she was so excited she didn't fall asleep until we were almost home.

Time to leave. Bye grandpa Antoni and Grandma Jasia!

Emma is all set in her pajamas in case she falls asleep in the car.

First Real Snow of the Season 12/20/09

I just had to get a few photos of this amazing sunset after our first real snow fall. We had a couple of inches back in October but this was the first significant snow of the season. The views are from our back deck.

Another shot of the sunset, the bird feeder is covered.
Hope the birds can still find the seeds!

The back hill is ready for some sledding!

Christmas Card Picture Session 12/12/09

Say Cheese!
We had fun dressing Emma up in a nice dress to take our annual Christmas card photos. She loved the dress and danced quite a bit in it. A particularly cute ballet pose made it as one of the photos. Quite a few photos later we finally narrowed it down to two photos.

After many many shots and a lot of running around, we finnaly narrowed the field down to the following two photos.

Every year we have to have a photo by the snowman.

Some Other Fun at Myrtle Beach

Emma and her cousin Alex mean a nice pirate with a parrot

We also had some fun at the boardwalk. Tata took Emma to the aquarium. We also went out to dinner at the Melting Pot. The waiter was really impressed at how well Emma behaved, he told her she should teach classes and as a reward she got a nice balloon. She loved the balloon but she loved the chocolate fondue even more. Smart girl, that was mom's favorite too! We also spent more time at the beach. Crazy Ashley and Angel Skeet Boarded in the freezing water and had a blask and both got soaked!

Fun at the Water Park 11/26/09

One of the things we did at Grandma's was go to the water park which was in her building. Emma absolutely loved it. She swam in the lazy river, she splashed in the splash park, ran around the sprinklers and most of all really liked "swimming" in the jacuzzi with Grandma Ella. Babcia took her to the jacuzzi indoors while we went to the other building for bigger rides Emma could not go on and to the outdoor jacuzzi that was too hot for Emma. That or the fact that it was freezing outside.

Ah! It's nice and warm here in the jacuzzi Grandma.

Thanksgiving at Grandma in Myrtle Beach

Fun at the Beach

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at grandma Ella's and John's. We drove up Tuesday night and got there on Wednesday after 1 PM. Emma took the drive pretty well. Since we drove at night she slept a lot and then in the morning watched cartoons on the portable DVD. We met up with Agnes and Edgar for breakfast who just by luck turned out to be near where we were.
Grandma Ella stayed at a nice resort type place that was right on the beach and had an indoor water park! What fun for Emma. She loved collecting seashells, climbing the bank walls on the beach and trying to run away from the waves, unsuccessfully I might add. She ended up wet to her knees but loved it anyway. Thanksgiving day was nice and warm but it was quite cool after that. After a fun few hours at the beach we went back in and had a nice Thanksgiving dinner.

Thanks Grandma for a nice Thanksgiving!

Lazy Saturday Morning 11/22/09

Here a just a couple of shots of Emma with her Tata on lazy Saturday morning.

On weekends we usually take Emma into our bed, put on cartoons for her and try to get a few more zzz's. She absolutely loves watching cartoons and her favorite by far is Dora the Explorer.
