This year to celebrate Mother's Day we went to brunch at Water's Edge Resort. They have a wonderful brunch. It's a bit pricey but so worth it. I of course ate too much but... Agnes and her family celebrated there with us. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful food, the awesome dessert and of course it wouldn't be complete without a walk on the beach. It was really cold and windy that day but we still went down to enjoy a bit of fresh air and give the food a chance to settle.

Emma, Aunt Monika, Emilka

We celebrated Daniel's 1st Communion in St. Michael's in Derby and then went to a diner for dinner. Alina's father works there and it was fun and the food was pretty good. Since Emma and Emilka are such good friends Emilka of course insisted on coming with us while Mariola went home to get her baby. Here is a shot of the girls in the car.

We don't have many pictures with Daniel since is camera shy when it comes to big events. But once he got home and started playing with the girls he opened up and let us take a few photos. Here are the kids at play.

Angel's 18th Birthday Party! 04/25/2010

We celebrated Angel's 18th Birthday at his parent's house on the day of his birthday since it was a Saturday. Lots of people showed up to share this special day. I can't believe Angel is 18 already. I was 14 when he was born which makes me feel old! I am proud of him though, he is nice young man who just needs a little motivation...he will be a fine father one day since he is great with kids and Emma...let's hope it's not too soon though!

Spirit Day at the Daycare 4/13/2010

Emma dressed up as a cheerleader for "Show your Spirit Day" at the daycare. We are not Brown fans but had this outfit in Emma's closet and this was the perfect occasion to use it. She looked really cute and got a lot of compliments that day. Here are some cute poses she did while demonstrating her cheerleader skills...looks like she is a perfect cheerleader in the making!

Celebrating Emilka's 5th Birthday. April 11, 2010

Emilka's birthday is actually March 28th but she celebrated it a kid's gym on April 11, 2010.

Emma had fun running around with the other kids playing ball, catching bubbles and doing various other activities including slides, trampolines, ball pit and a zip line ride. The pizza, cupcakes didn't hurt either.

They all had a blast. It's great watching the cousins play together.

Just a few cute photos of Emma on her picture day at preschool.

Emma wanted her hair up so it was also the first time I gave her braids.  Her hair is actually long enough to attempt this.

She wore a cute skirt and shirt and of course insisted on wearing "korale" or necklace.

And this is Emma pigging out on "ice cream" which is actually rasberry sherbert which she loves.

Easer Weekend 04/3-04/4/2010

I make up the Easter Basket on Friday night and we colored eggs. Here is Emma proudly displaying the basket the next morning.  In Poland, we make a basket full of eggs, meat, bread, and even condiments and bless it in church on Saturday morning. You are not supposed to have any meat until you eat the Easter breakfast consisting of the blessed food. We are continuing this tradition with Emma.



On Easter we went to church and then went to visit Aunt Agnes and family.
